An item and enemy randomizer for Dark Souls 3
The DS3 Static Item and Enemy Randomizer is an offline mod that fundamentally reshapes the game by modifying the static files loaded at startup. Both item and enemy randomization can be toggled independently, giving players full control over how unpredictable their journey through Lothric becomes. Since the mod is designed exclusively for offline play, online functionality must be disabled to avoid the risk of a ban.
Randomized items for a fresh adventure
When item randomization is enabled, nearly every type of item in the game can be shuffled. World pickups, enemy and boss drops, and even your character’s starting weapons and armor can all appear in unexpected places. With so many variables, each run transforms into a new kind of treasure hunt.
To fine-tune the experience, the mod introduces difficulty options through a bias slider. Players can choose fairer item placement for smoother progression or opt for punishing setups that hide essential gear deep within long chains of requirements. Sequence break settings raise the stakes further, allowing critical items to appear in unconventional locations—for example, the Twin Princes dropping the Small Lothric Banner, or Slave Knight Gael carrying the Small Doll. Even the Cinders of a Lord can be found anywhere, ensuring no two playthroughs are ever alike.
Enemies reimagined
The enemy randomizer adds another layer of unpredictability by shuffling both standard enemies and bosses while maintaining progression logic. This means that defeating a mimic’s replacement will still grant its unique drop, and killing the boss that replaces the Dancer will still unlock access to Lothric Castle. The result is a world that feels familiar yet radically altered, where danger lurks in unexpected forms.
A challenge without end
By allowing items and enemies to be randomized separately, and by offering settings that range from approachable to brutally unfair, the DS3 Static Item and Enemy Randomizer delivers near-limitless replay value. Every run becomes a fresh trial of adaptation and discovery, offering bold new ways to experience one of FromSoftware’s most iconic worlds.
